Candidates were asked to answer four questions about fathers, families and health and human services funding prior to both the primary and general elections.

1. I am an attorney who practices primarily family law. I represent fathers and mothers in custody disputes. I know first hand that both mothers and fathers are capable parents and that each case must be assessed on an individual basis based on the best interest of the child. I also serve as a guardian ad litem where I have recommended that the fathers be awarded custody of the children. I have been working on behalf of families for over 20 years.
2. As a council person, I would make sure that the work of Peter Lawson Jones with this issue be continued and that the fatherhood initiatives remain a priority.
3. We need jobs in the County for the fathers who want to raise their children and who have child support orders outstanding.
4. Funding should be fairly distributed based on need first but equitably divided throughout the County.
